Description The Provost, at the behest of the President, appointed the Sustainability Planning Group (SPG) with the charge to develop plans and policies to enable the University to meet the goals of the ACUPCC, and to develop a long term master plan for sustainability in 2006. The SPG has been reorganized and renamed as the Sustainability Planning Council (SPC) as of October 2008. This Council (Co-Chaired by the Director of the Shi Center for Sustainability and a Faculty Chair Representative) has four committees (and a CORE SPC committee that spearheads all efforts) examining campus sustainability institutional assessment, curriculum and sustainability, co-curriculum and sustainability-related student engagement, and communications and sustainability. The original institutional structure goals remain.
