1. Establish a policy that all new campus construction will be built to at least the U.S. Green Building Council's LEED Silver standard or equivalent. Yes: Currently, we are in leased space in an Energy Star rated building owned and operated by Arden Realty a subsidiary of General Electric. As part of our current strategic planning process, we are incorporating language that at a minimum will mandate a LEED Silver standard or equivalent as a minimum target for any new construction or or reuse and rehabilitation resulting from the university plans for relocation. |

2. Adopt an energy-efficient appliance purchasing policy requiring purchase of ENERGY STAR certified products in all areas for which such ratings exist. Yes: The Sustainability Task Force will include the above as part of our recommendations to the president. |

3. Establish a policy of offsetting all greenhouse gas emissions generated by air travel paid for by our institution. Yes: The task force has made this recommendation informally to the president. We will include it as part of our formal recommendations. |
