Description The Sustainability Committee is a voluntary group of representatives from all stakeholders. The purpose of the committee is to further the College's efforts to educate students, employees and external community on environmental issues and take necessary steps to preserve the environment. The Group makes recommendations to the President on appropriate projects in support of sustainability.

Yes: Harford Community College participated in the 2008 competition. Participation coordinated by Dave Dunaway. Our reported recycling rate is approx. 18%, better in paper and cardboard. Four (4) sustainable practices in place are 1) re-using inter-campus mail envelopes, 2) setting printer settings for 2 sided, 3) recycling printer cartridges, and 4) promoting recycling thru public displays including posters and factoids.
