Description President White authorized three committees to organize UI’s efforts to fulfill its climate commitments: 1) the Climate Commitment Leadership Committee makes decisions about activities that require allocation of financial or other resources or operational changes; 2) the broadly representative Sustainability Planning Committee promotes collaboration, guides planning and makes recommendations to the Leadership Committee; and, 3) the Campus Operations Group consists of staff who manage data, are directly involved in relevant operations, and who will provide technical support to the effort.

Yes: UI has implemented, or is in the process of implementing, most measures listed under this option. For ACUPCC, UI will adopt the following three measures:
• purchasing office equipment with waste prevention in mind (e.g. electronic interface, double-sided capabilities etc.);
• creating an action plan for better materials management in concessions operations and sporting events ;
• creating credit mechanisms to return savings in disposal costs to fund further waste reduction initiatives.
