Description Illinois State University's Green Team was established in 2001 by executive order. The committee oversees campus-wide sustainability initiatives and reports to the President of the University. As a subset of this committee, a Climate Task Force has been created to facilitate the Greenhouse Gas inventory and creation of the Climate Action Plan.

This service provides transportation around campus and is free to all faculty, staff, students and visitors of Illinois State University.

1. ISU began composting food waste from dining centers in October 2008
2. The meal plan was changed to a dine-in operation, significantly reducing the use of/need for to-go containers. The change took effect for the Fall 2008 semester.
3. ISU's recycling department is currently working with a student group to increase the recycling opportunities for off-campus students.
